78. Z - Zone

With closed eyes I sat drunk
In to a vacuum I silently sunk.
Away and peaceful,
Life resumed from where we'd left it the last time
On my lap,
taking a peaceful nap
Strands of your hair, covered her cheek in an attractive manner
I looked at you, and sighed peacefully
Everything made sense
The silence, the moonlight,
You in light of the moon,
For you were not lucky enough
To see how beautiful you looked when asleep
When the bold woman looks like a coy girl,
meek and cute
Till thay day I never noticed you looked so mesmerizing,
The color of your hair,
The beauty of your skin,
And that one dimple,
Of course wasn't visible now.
This moment for me is romance
When I'm gazing at you and there's no disturbance
It's just you, me and my whiskey
The heavy tides in you have calmed down
Your eyelids have relaxed your pupils
You're not worried about anything or anybody.
I like how everytime you tightly hold on to my hands, though asleep
It's the most reassuring feeling,
As many came, but didn't stay
Even in sleep you denied to leave
As I gulp down the 8th peg
I start to slowly fall on your head
As I wake, it's just the empty glass there
Did you leave already, when and where.?

That is my zone
Into which I walk all alone
It's just her and me
If only she'd have stayed to see....
Life is zilch in her absence
Even after leaving me, she hasn't left
These pegs and poems often leave me bereft
