97. 90's Kid

I'm a 90's kid
With the millennials I don't fit
Love for me was letters
I was habituated to the old school love
We were stern, could yet bend,
To an extent also used to mend
But with the millennials I don't fit

My life didn't start with bright screens
I'm used to playing outdoor
Falling, feeling sore
Yet, the show never stopped
But with millennials I don't fit

We used language to woo
I ain't from the texting generation
Spelling & grammar is our strength
We're less afraid, to talk in length
Unhidden behind screens
We were innocent in our teens
But with the millennials I don't fit

We aren't very different
But I notice a lot of difference
Back then there was less of jazz
More real, more self acquainted
My parents didn't ever shut me up with electronics
But now parents are themselves in a fix
I don't blame the kids
But With these millennials I don't fit

This society,
For them is just a pit
They dig and dive,
Unaware, still innocent
Partially, I may be a part of the millennials
But sometimes I,
Just don't fit...
